Welcome to Our family cooking

My mother and grandmother cooked several dishes which are unique in their preparation. I have to think back long way. The meals/breakfast /snacks/ from my child hood days are still in my memories. Now My wife cooks her own delicacies. I thought I should share with the people. Even though I myself am not a great cook, I enjoyed listening to them, and was curious to know how they made it. I tried capturing most of the data from my mom.

My father never ever did anything in the kitchen. I never ever knew him to go anywhere near the kitchen, never mind assist in any way. That was not men’s work, that was only for the women to do. He had a much more important role in Society as bread earner not the doer.
As a cook my grandmother made tasty meals and was a fairly talented cook, her mother was a magnificent cook. She taught my mom many dishes and my mom did bring her own way of cooking which is quite different from my grandmothers in its ways.
I am segregating dishes by Lunch/ Breakfast/ Dinner. Please visit those pages for several dishes
